As OOTP10 is still not out I decided to run a fictional league in OOTP9.
I have currently one league, set up with 8 divisions of 4 for a total of 32 teams; there'll be either 155 or 186 regular season games (i.e. 5 or 6 matches of each team against every other).

Spring training is over, we finished with a .583 percentage in 24 games. Unfortunately our aspiring hot prospect catcher, Norwegian Daniel Solberg from Oslo, had to end his career at age 22 after having his skull fractured in a training game against the Warsaw Lawmen. <_<

I had to work with what was available. There's no logos that fit themselves to "Slavs", "Fabs", "H&M" etc. The closest is "Prise", but a Lion logo didn't make sense.

I answered the question in the AAR thread - and provided links to the online manuals. In short: yes, except telling the pitcher how to pitch (fastballs, curveballs etc.), but you can tell him to try pick of stealers etc., move infield and outfield depending on batter, give intentional walks (Graziadei and Salvenmoser have collected a few of those against weak pitchers :menace: ), send relievers/closers to warm up ...

They're playing in the Rainbow Arena. ;) Maybe I will change their (and other) franchises after the season. It's rather easy to mod, really. When you start a league all colour schemes are randomized (towns/nicks, too, normally - I have all minors randomized and only added logos), but you can edit it rather quickly. You can change names, colour schemes, logos from within the game. In case of jerseys it generates png files on the fly based on colour selections and design and modifies them. You can then edit them in a gfx program (e.g. add logo or text to the jersey) and the game will immediately start using them.
yeah ootp is great in customizing regard.
I haven't played with the customization yet, did you just create the teams and have them populated by PC generated players or you just change the names of the real teams and players?

I created a league with 8x4 teams. It then generates random teams which I can edit. The minors are all randomized based on the major league teams (e.g. Vienna Cannibals have Austrian teams affiliated). All players have been randomized based on team countries. So you'll have in my case U.S., Canucks, Austrians, etc., plus the "usual" suspects like DomRep, Aruba etc. To top it off I had an inaugural draft (though you can start with teams already populated).
Creating a wholly fictional random major league with minors is a matter of 5 minutes. Customizing teams, colours, logos takes a bit longer but is also very easy.
I guess I will play one Languish season in OOTP9; by the time I'm finished OOTP10 should be out, so I can then import into that one.
