Kind of like Minecraft meets zombies, isometrically. I'm looking forward to it.
Sounds like fun.
I'd be all over a Zombie MMO
Although after reading a bit more, when there's a built in premise that you WILL eventually "lose" the game, that's a bit of a damper for me.
Fair enough if the hope of survival is slim to the point where it's virtually impossible, but it should be an option...
Sounds good. A while to wait probally :(
A demo is due out this month.
Gameplay vids are on youtube.

"NOTE THIS IS AN EARLY DEV DEMO OF THE SHOTGUN WITH INFINITE AMMO, AND DOES NOT REFLECT ACTUAL GAMEPLAY EXPERIENCE OF PROJECT ZOMBOID.
Read more about the game here: http://www.projectzomboid.com and here http://www.plughead.net/project-zomboid-footage
Since there is a lot of focus in the feedback we have had in the importance of seeing in-game footage of Project Zomboid, we decided to get something out there ASAP before we do a proper trailer.
So here we present a build of Project Zomboid demoing the shotgun with infinite ammo.
Please bear in mind this is an extremely early build, has WIP graphics, anims and placeholder sounds, and is in no way representative of the final quality."
Holy shit, look at this:

That's novel, kinda cool. Though having half the screen dark will suck.

Needs multiplayer so people can watch one-another.

Now you know how those guards in Commandos feel!

But I mean annoying more in half the screen being black and useless than not being able to see behind you- used to that with FPS.

And this is what happens when Swedes play Project Zomboid:

I gotta admit, his presentation is probably the funniest. 6 videos!
I tried an early version, just a tutorial sort of thing so far which ends in you getting shot but seems alright, might get it. Everything feels rather slow and cumbersome though, hope they'll fix that.
Yeah, they've done some fixes and such. Also, there is a way to kill the guy with the shotgun if you hide and wait for him to come through the door. Plenty of videos show people doing it. You smash his head in with the hammer and he's toast. I recommend watching all of Nooya's videos for comedy awesomeness.
Didn't know you could smother the wife
They released their pre-alpha tech demo for free now due to piracy.

A auto-updating pirate version huh...interesting. They mustn't be very good at web programming for such a exploit to be available.
Has there been many versions released? I thought there'd just been the one alpha with the tutorial.
They're up to .somethingC now, from .whateverA, then B, so there's been a few updates. They admit that they aren't terribly good at preventing such exploits and that they'd prefer to focus on the game, rather than spending months building up the security. Good on them, honestly. This actually gets them a lot of attention, which can only lead to sales. I bought my copy, obviously.
