I bought some avocados from an online grocery story to make guacamole, however they are still hard/non-ripe. Is there a "homemade" way to ripen them fast?
Armpit.
Avocados ripen within three to four days, if they are kept in brown paper bags at room temperature. In case, you cannot arrange for brown paper bags, use simple newspaper to completely wrap the avocados. This also helps in quick ripening of the avocado fruit.
Add Ripe Fruits
For ripening avocados quickly, you can place them in a paper bag (preferably brown bag) and add a ripe banana, apple or tomato. The ethylene gas released from the ripe fruit will quicken the ripening process of avocados. Make sure you store them at room temperature.
Last resort is microwave to make soft enough to use, but the flavor of them pales compared to naturally ripened.

Thanks! For once, your Mexicanism proves also a blessing and not just a curse.
Nope still not gonna miss ya.
Oh should we pull an Ech and change your password to stop you from coming back.
Ech?
Eochaid, I presume.
If you are going to leave leave, don't do this hanging around bit hoping to get a TBR invite.
Are these avocados a euphemism for something I'm missing here?

Why not? It is hilariously pathetic and I hope it goes on for a long time.

Hilariously pathetic? Remind me again why you returned after your pathetically dramatic good bye posts.

Grumbler left? When was this?
When he was temp-banned by Neil or something like that. He posted a big drama queen style good bye post, then slinked back a couple of weeks later.
So are you already back from your ragequit, or are you just building up to it?

 If you are going for the Big Lie, you are doing it well. I never posted a drama queen good bye post, or any other good-bye post, since I have never left, but don't let truth ever stand in the way of The Big Lie.
Please keep making up lies in a feeble and EPIC-FAIL attempt to lash out. That's is even more hilariously pathetic than the constant "I am leaving right now but have to say a few more things" posts.

Yeah that's what I thought.
Grumbler has always been here.
ALWAYS - been - here.
@Kat: What's your guac recipe? I use a dash of garlic powder, salt, cilantro, lime juice and sometimes a dollop of salsa mixed in. Coursely blended, I still like some avocado bits, and don't care for the pureed consistency of some guacs.
You pretty much nailed it, yeah I mix it by hand for the chunky style as well.
Mix by...hand? WHAT IS THIS, 1855?
I press my garlic into my lime juice and let stand for about 20 minutes before mixing.
I put them on the window sill next to the bananas until they feel ripe or (more likely) I forget about them til they are grossly over ripe and I have to put them in the compost.

What is the record time for Marti returning after a ragequit and how many times has he returned?

This has to be the record one because he hasn't actually left.

Actually the record is how quickly he said he was leaving and then posted again. At least I think it is a record which is why I asked the question.
