Title: The Theatre/Opera/Balet Megathread
Post by: Martinus on April 10, 2011, 01:13:50 PM
A counterpoint to the movies/tv thread for those preferring higher culture. :P

So I just managed to get two tickets for one of the three performances of "King Roger" in the National Opera House in Warsaw.

I'm so fucking excited. Always wanted to see it. It's the most famous Polish opera from arguably the most talented Polish composer after Chopin.

I saw Legally Blonde the musical when I was in Korea, and I loved it.
Didn't understand much at all, but it was just so much fun despite that.

Every year, the Vienna State Opera plays Wagner's Parsifal around Easter. I'll be there on Easter Sunday.

'Higher culture'?  Surely you, of all people, can't hold to the belief that just because something is old it is better.
