Ok, so I seem to be starting threads about people hating on celebrities lately. Next step: A "LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE " video?
Anyway, so it seems Katy Perry is pretty much being burned in effigy by lots of internet queens and dykes for "I Kissed a Girl" and "Ur so Gay" songs, as they are apparently homophobic.
Wtf.
You may dislike the songs for artistic reasons (I personally like them) but isn't it like a bit overreacting?

There is a trademark/patent authority but not a copyright management organization. However, the EU Commission just began working on a whitepaper presenting a proposal for a pan-EU system, over complains concerning iTunes store (it is available in some countries, but not in others, due to a patchwork of copyright regulations).

Wishing you were in the rain reading Hemingway

Maybe it's more amusing when you own 3 H&M scarves, like me.
Why are you so excited to tell us with several posts that you buy discount fashion?
I mean, I could understand if you were buying somewhere that was still considered "unique" and trendy like Uniqlo but H&M?

It's Poland. We don't have Uniqlo here yet. H&M and Mexx are considered top fashion. :P

Also, perhaps you should go shopping in first world countries?

With the current exchange rates? Sorry, but this option is temporarily: unavailable.
Besides, fashion's purpose (i.e. getting ass) is relativised to your environment.

Actually to me it comes across that she's dating someone who is clearly gay and he should just fess up.
Although I can also easily see that it could be using gay in the negative effeminate sense.

*shrug*
Not every case of playing up to a gay stereotype must be homophobic, especially as the entire thing is clearly done in a tongue-in-cheek humorous way. And there is a stereotype and a stereotype, too. It's not like the song is about the stereotype of gays as disease-ridden, child-molesting perverts. And as far as the stereotype in the song goes, I know many gays who are like that (to some extent, myself included). I think it's a catchy, humorous little ditty which is satyrical, but not in a vicious or xenophobic way, imo.
I was sitting in my spanish class today when I realized I was wearing a Uniqlo shirt and an H&M jacket.

Castillian I think, but it would make more sense to teach a Mexican dialect since there are a lot more of them and they're the people speaking Spanish most Americans are going to run into.

I've seen it in its entirety and I can assure you that the Wikipedia entry, as hard as it may be to believe, is 100% accurate.
This was my favorite scene:
Quote from: WikipediaThe next scene concerns the horrific torture and execution of Mr. Director by Spider-Man. Despite the Director's pleas, Spider-Man's henchmen tie him to a pole while they put a long transparent pipe to his face. After that, Spider-Man releases two hungry guinea pigs to the pipe. The guinea pigs attack Mr. Director's face and slowly kill him in the most painful way.

It's actually better than Turkish Star Wars, though for some reason Turkish Star Wars has gotten more attention. I certainly loved the scene in Turkish Star Wars when Mr. Hero kicked the Darth Vader-guy in half with his magic tennis shoes, which they rendered by shading out the right side of the film. :lmfao:
