My brother-in-law, who works in the General Assembly, was telling me about one of the moron bills that people attempt to introduce every session; this time, his favorite was one that would legally define "domestic partner" as someone who simply shares a child with another individual, regardless of whether or not they share a residence.

The sponsor was quite sullen when explained to her that, as several thousands of individuals share children from multiple partners, if they used that definition, the state would be legalizing polygamy.  :lol:
