Lent begins today. Obviously, some people will be giving something up, whether it be for reasons of religion, self-discipline, health, personal challenge, etc.
Anyone here planning on giving anything up for the next 40 days?
I will give up: alcohol
Or perhaps you plan to engage in an orgy of indulgence and hedonism, in rebellion to any and all of the above. Feel free to share that too.
And if you plan to do nothing at all, at least post some pr0n or something.
Heroin.
Business as usual. That's how we won the war.

Not allowed... this isn't TBR. :(

Silly Catholics. There is no rebellion when you pound two chicks.
Did you know that Lent is a total of 46 days long but you get Sundays off from "fasting"? So whatever you idiots are giving up, you can indulge on Sundays.
I'm giving up on giving up.
Indulge in everything everyday.
I had fish today and will probably have it again on Friday.
There is a decided lack of resolve and/or porn in this thread. :glare:

Have fun.
And sucks to be Catholic, business as usual.
Not Papist, hence business as usual ;)
I'm giving up on everyone.
I give up lot's of things.
Not Catholic anymore, but I still try to give up something every year. I think this year I will give up soda. I thought about alcohol, but decided against it when I realized that Easter was after a huge party.. not before. So soda it is.
Did you get all loaded up on meth and heroin for Fat Tuesday, Pee Pee?
Sodas, chocolate, and most difficult: fast food. Baby Jesus will be proud.

Meth? I'm Catholic, not Amish.
Lent is a terrible idea, and only unbalanced types participate in it.

Logical fallacy. Lent -> unbalanced doesn't mean unbalanced -> Lent. :contract:
Not Catholic, so I can have whatever I want.

Since Lent leads up to Easter, shouldn't it be Zombie Jesus?

Give up extraneous apostrophes.

"Most followers of Western Christianity observe Lent beginning on Ash Wednesday and concluding on Holy Saturday. The six Sundays in this period are not counted because each one represents a "mini-Easter," a celebration of Jesus' victory over sin and death."

It's in Wiki, it must be true.
