Well, one could argue that immigrants wanting to rape your nuns, slaughter your monks and plunder and burn down your monasteries have not assimilated properly. ;)

They just wanted good paying jobs, health benefits, and other basic human essentials. They raped, slaughtered, and pillaged just as much as the locals. So, why the hate?
