It's Saturday & I just made bratwurst. PBR is flowing freely. I'm on my way back out to the garage in a few minutes to crank up the live version of "The Midnight Rambler" by the Rolling Stones (along with several other Moldy Oldies) to gear up for the Blackhawks/Blues game later on.
What are you all up to tonight? Enquiring minds want to know...
This week is a horrifily quiet week. Absolutely nothing happening. Which is very odd for this time of year, nobody has exams or anything.
So the weather is good over in the Americas today? This place is quiet...
I'm just chilling out after the twins were on a rampage for a couple hours.
I took a pic of me relaxing:

They're right, you really do change your avatar a lot, don't you Ed? :)
As for me, I am lazing around my bedroom posting on Languish as I am a lonely thirty-something with nothing else to do...maybe I should add my old Kapland title to my avatar for a snicker or two... :(

Yep.
I also don't crop quotes. Everybody needs to see Picard again.

The man said Picard, not Patrick Stewart.
(Although, personally, I agree that Leondegrance cannot be shown enough.)
So el jefe, were you bald before the kids?

Since I'm trapped at home by snow like a dazzling urbanite with too much sick leave, I'm planning on whipping up some pancakes, eggs, bacon and some hot sausage for dinner, and then starting a Peter Sellers-Pink Panther mini-festival.
KATO YOU LITTLE YELLOW BASTARD
Brinner With Peter: It sounds dirty, but it isn't...
;)
Bratwurst was last night. :mmm:
Since the temps outside are still a bit low for serious grilling, I've had some ribs in the oven on very, very low for the last 4 hours. Going to try my hand at some homemade BBQ sauce, together with potato salad.
And I may have had a couple Blue already...
I'm eating eclairs with desert wine. Then I'll go out and attempt to avoid an sti.
I'm concerned. The once a month bear party has been selected. Crabs will be abundant! :o
The ribs were delicious. :mmm:
Not sure it was worth the 6 hours they spent in the oven, but delicious nontheless.
Potato salad had too much fresh dill for my tastes, but was still not half bad.

BBQ sauce turned out well, I take it?

Yes. :mmm: Just a random recipe I found on the net, tomato sauce and paste, vinegar, sugar, spices, worcestire... was good. Probably beats a store-bought sauce.

For the same reason (too cold to go out, too much snow), last night, I made spaghetti with four cheeses sauce, opened a bottle of pinot noir and watched Talented Mr. Ripley.

I'm not bald. Unless you count my neatly trimmed pubes, which are trimmed in SS lighting bolts.

Not saying it's the world's best recipe or anything - it's the first time I ever made a sauce. It was good though.

As a follow-up, no one ate me. Other than my injury, highlights of the evening:
-I got to see a hairy buns contest, where a majority of the contestants had no hair on their asses.
-I aggressively forced a man to give me his phone number even though I had no intention of ever calling him. (already deleted!)
-I saw more shirtless fat men than anyone should ever see.
-A pornstar gave me his business card with the intention that we'd do brunch this morning.
-I ran into someone I'd once had a bad blind date with in college and we promised to set up a dinner later this week. His boyfriend is a towering gargantuan so I can understand why it didn't work out.
-I went to a restaurant at 3am with some children (18-21: one of whom looked like Marilyn Manson) who apparently spent the day getting new wardrobes provided to them by a lecherous old man.

I really like red dessert wines with chocolate (it actually makes the chocolate taste sweeter). I've found the whites to be too sickeningly sweet.

I am fond of Moscat, especially sparkling Moscat. The Nashoba fruit wines can be nice with certain dishes too.
Blargh. No more grill. :( :( :( I love grilling. Especially in the winter.
