You gonna turn on all your lights out of spite then?
Not doing it here either; it's already dark by 8:30 here.

I have better ways of dealing with annoying evironuts.
What the fuck is Earth Hour?
My school is doing it. I don't care either way. This stuff has more to do with making people feel better than actually changing anything.
Of course not. I'm not turning off my lights, computer, tv, and air conditioner just to make some filthy hippies happy.
Not doing it.
They picked a crap time for it. World Cup qualifying matches are on tonight at that time.
My firm is doing that. Of course it's Saturday so it's not like there are many people in the office anyway. :P
I plan to burn 100 lbs of high-sulpher coal during earth hour. Then, I will rent an H2 and go run over som hippies.

Germany doesn't give a shit. The map shows cities taking part in this "Earth Hour" thing.
That may be because Germany is actually making a genuine effort on reducing it's carbon dioxide output, rather than simply posing.

We are phasing out nuclear power in favor of burning lignite. :P
And no, I certainly won't do earth hour. It's dark and football is on at that time.
sure. all the bars on my street have something fun planned.
nothing wrong with building community is there?

yes.
I'm trying to see the point, but someone's turned out the lights.
I often watch TV or a movie with the lights off anyway. no big deal.
heh. I will save more by turning of my TV and computer than by turning of the light...
LOL.

Also, low flow toilets SUCK.
There is a Flames game on during that hour. Last year Calgary's energy consumption went up during the hour.
Hooray for Earth Hour! Can't wait for next year!
Fuck NO!
Fuck no. Winter 2007-2008, I was too poor to afford heat. And when my roommate fucked me over paying the bill and the power company taking FUCKING FOREVER to turn it back on, I didn't have electricity for about a week and a half on top of that. Not to mention, I didn't have money to pay for gas to go anywhere. Yeah, it was a shitty winter.
So I think I get a pass.
If these fucks really gave a shit about protecting the environment, they'd quit driving so much, plant a garden, and do all the other shit you do to cut down on energy usage.
Every hour should be Earth Hour.

I did it!

By accident? ...Or by design, were you even at home during the hour?
The CC household did it. Having come candles out was fun but the effect was diminished somewhat by the glare of lights from our neighbours.
I was out shopping at the time. When I got back home I realised, ashamed, that I left the lights on. :Embarrass:
In the morning paper some guy was angry that Earth Hour violated his personal freedom.

he should sue.
it was fun. the bars were packed. locally, power use went 16% down. hence, I expect a 16% spike in baby births next xmas.
First I knew of it was afterwards.
