I am looking for a game which runs in a window and can be played at work :P So some strategy thing, mostly.
I dont think I will ever try to get into Dwarf Fortress again, and Aurora dwarfs DF (hehe) in complexity.
Alpha Centauri.

I suggest getting back to work.
Try a rougelike if you have to waste the company time and dime.

I simply has nothing to do.

Master of Magic.
Or the first Master of Orion.
That's actually a pretty good suggestion. No one lucky enough to get a peek on my display would think its more than a stupid flash game.
Point and clickers?
SCUMM VM runs in a window.
And all those AGS games too.

I don't like point n' click
Most ideal would be a mostly text based stuff.
Defcon.

Defcon.
For Fahdiz, the coughing gave him nightmares for a month.
I'd second defcon. What a great game.
The DoomRL is good fun. Other roguelikes could work too, and if you play them all in ASCII, then just tell anyone that happens to see them that its code for a project you're working on.
Is the original MOO worthwhile then?
I always just envisaged it as a less good MOO2.

Hard to compare them really. Despite the similarities they play very differently. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. I like em both, in fact I think I´m gonna fire up ol DOSBOX for some right now.
Panzer General, Railroad Tycoon, X-Com UFO defense ...

ZAngBandTK. It's a rogue-like engine, but it added a simplified UI and tilesets of graphics to make the map more understandable.
