Title: Captain Tom has died of Covid-19

He was 100.  WW2 vet and champion fundraiser for the NHS.

BBC was reporting that he couldn't get the vaccine because he had pneumonia.

I saw this story this week. I saw a pic of him being knighted by the Queen, he was old at the time. RIP.

He was just knighted in July 2020, so yes. Very old.

Well that sucks. Sad ending to what has been quite a year for him.

I guess to make a positive from a sad situation it is a timely reminder that though the end seems in sight its far from over.
