Title: RIP Orson Bean
Post by: Tonitrus on February 08, 2020, 05:31:47 PM
Wasn't sure exactly what he'd been in was at first (just that the name was familiar), and then noticed he voiced Bilbo/Frodo in the old Hobbit/RotK cartoon films.  Still working in various roles too, right up into his 90's.

And didn't die of natural causes either...hit by a car.

A name that sounds very familiar, and, yet, when I look through his filmography and TV appearances, nothing stands out.

RIP, Dude that I know but don't know why.

He was basically a character actor, not a leading man;  one of those guys who showed up a lot as a guest on old TV shows, usually in relatively minor parts.
