Serious exposure of Medved corruption. Also pretty funny and pretty thorough. Definitely worth a watch if you're interested in that sort of thing: https://youtu.be/qrwlk7_GF9g
I wonder 1) if anyone will die because of this, 2) who is actually behind it (Edit: well, the presenter is running against Medvedev in the 2018 election in Russia. It is certainly an impressive investigation)
I watched just part of it. Russia and its elites being extremely corrupt is not really surprising. You have to wonder what kind of riches Putin amassed in the last 19 years.

Yeah, the thing is not that the substance is particularly surprising but rather having it laid out so neatly and so publicly. A bit of a public slap that is. And with people dying every so often, pretty brave too.
I saw an article a year or two back alleging that Putin is the world's richest man.
QuoteKAREN DAWISHA, Author, Putin's Kleptocracy:
The bottom line, just to put it with two numbers— two numbers is all we need. The median or the midpoint wealth for the average Russian is $871, according to Credit Suisse, very neutral report. Eight hundred and seventy-one dollars means half the population has more than that in wealth, and half the population has less. Median wealth in India, over a thousand dollars. So the average Russian is poorer than the average Indian. So that's one number, 871.
The other number is 110. One hundred and ten individuals own 35 percent of the wealth of Russia. They are the most unequal country by far in the world.

Medveded was the "good cop" vs Putin the "bad cop".
So sad! :(
And Navalny just got arrested again.

I don't suppose he was surprised by this. Brave man.
Dead man.

That's as good an explanation for Putin as any. The government that can most credibly guarantee public pension income wins.
