Title: Apocalypse Now RPG
Post by: celedhring on January 26, 2017, 09:05:24 AM
So, some dudes that worked for Obsidian and other companies are kickstarting an Apocalypse Now RPG, with the blessings of F.F. Coppola.

As long as it's the original version.

Saw that and thought it looked interesting.  Some pretty solid names behind the effort too.

I'm not going to back it, but I hope they do well and I might purchase it on release.

I backed it, but it doesn't look like they will make it. Pity.

Why not?  They've raised $100k in just a couple days, and it has 27 to go.  And from my understanding kickstarters generate the most money closer to the end of the window.

They also generate a lot of it in the first days. They should be closing on 300k for it to have a decent chance.

We'll see, but I'm not optimistic.

Why kickstart a game, when you know we're all going to be a glowing parking lot within 3 years?

And with all that EMP?  All board games, all the time for the survivors.
