For some reason a minor memory from when I was a kid has suddenly come to me; I went to the local shop with a friend where he bought an anniversary card for his parents (yep, useless memory, no boobs or explosions or anything).
In my family.... we just don't do that. Anniversaries are purely between the couple in question, not 3rd parties.
I wonder.
Was my friend's family odd?
Is my family odd?
Is languish bored enough to vote in a pointless poll?
I don't even know when their anniversary is.
My parents' wedding day was December 24th, Christmas Eve (or THE most important day of Christmas in Germany). So, no, nobody cared.
My oldest sister was in fact a Christmas miracle. My parents were married 24/12/60, and my sister was born only a month later on 25/01/61. Clearly a miracle. :pope:
My parents are divorced so I think that would be rude.
I do often celebrate my mother's wedding to my stepfather as I'm often home for Christmas at the time.

Haha mine parents' is New Years Eve. Who cares. They never really cared either (both are divorcees). For all I know I could be a bastard. :P
I'm pretty sure you are bastard.

Please, the polite term is "natural son".
Marti? Natural?
If I remember, I do it.
We actually have kind of a tradition built around their anniversary so yeah it is kind of a big deal.
It is in March, then Mom's Birthday in April, Mother's Day in May, and the Father's Day in June. Parent Season I like to call it.
We only bother with the big ones. If the couple announce a party then quite expensive presents will be brought.
I don't even know when my parents got married. I don't think they cared much themselves. They didn't even have an actual wedding ceremony, they just went to the city council and signed the papers.
Needs an "other" option. No, I never used to mark my parents' wedding anniversary, but I did buy cards and help arrange celebrations for their Silver and Ruby anniversaries. They made it to Golden, but mum was already quite ill by then.
I used to send my parents a bottle of Michigan wine for their anniversary. The first year I moved to Florida I sent them a bottle of Florida wine. I still hear about that. :(
My Dad grew up in what is now Michigan's wine country. When he was growing up they grew orchard fruits there; and my paternal grandfather owned a farm. My parents were married in August because that was between Michigan's cherry harvest (July) and apple harvest (September-October.) I'm glad my dad didn't continue with that life.
My parents hate the shit out of eachother for almost 25 years.
I think next July I will throw a party for their 40 years of marriage / 25 years of separation.
I used to remind my Dad of the event to prevent problems. :P
j/k
Not this year at least, since Dad and Mom were in Portugal for the anniversary, the first time in a long while.
I didn't and they got divorced. So maybe you should. :hmm:
Mam?
My parents celebrated their 50th anniversary in August. It is the only one I ever acknowledged even though I have know the date for a long time.
