Yep, plus in my case I usually go in to work early enough that it's dark when I leave home even at the height of summer.
Crunchy leaves is only yes answer.
Nobody else has snow on the ground by now I take it?

QuoteMid 19th century (in jumper): probably from dialect jump 'short coat', perhaps from Scots jupe 'a man's (later also a woman's) loose jacket or tunic', via Old French from Arabic jubba. Compare with jibba.

Shopping on Saturday sucked. It was ca. 12 degrees and sunny.
So you have two options: wear something so you're comfortable in the sun, which means you freeze every time you get out of the sun.
Or, wear something so you're comfortable in the shade. Which means you're sweating like a pig in the sun and any shop and public transport, because apparently heaters can only be set to either 0 or 9th Circle of Hell.
When I came home I felt grimy and disgusting and had to take another shower.

Major cities are a bit different as 'city centre' is a bit nebulous and there are parts in the centre where the are crazy crowds (Broadway, Herald Square - NYC and Oxford Street, Westfield Stratford - London) but then lots of smaller (still central) neighborhood versions of same stores where not so crowed.
I try to hit the mandatory shopping early on Sunday mornings when everyone's sleeping in, going to church or had already done it the day before.

My heat is set to automatically come on if the temps in the house go below the low/mid 60sF. I just leave it at that. The heat hasn't come on much but it got cold a few times over night, down to freezing or below freezing temps.

Hehe, no snow yet! It's way early for snow but sometimes we get a freak storm in October. :)
The sure sign that autumn is in the air here in Florida is that the first crops of the season are just coming in (oranges, as you might expect.) In a few months we'll have peaches and strawberries. :)
This morning it finally felt like October. Windy, low 50s and a little rain. Still think it's funny that my grass is still so green.
