What Was The Last Thing You Made Or Built?
Myself I'm somewhat struggling to think of something, and I don't think pushing a bunch of electrons around the interwebs/computers or yapping to people counts. <_<
Maybe a pair of transmission line speakers a while back? I'm excluding a bunch of house repairs/bodges.
The only other times I'm putting things together is repairing stuff, so doesn't appear one is very creative in a material* sense.
So what was the last thing you made or built?
*And yes I know I'm not ticking any boxes in the intellectual realm. :P
A flyer for work. Does that count?

...
It's for you to decide.
I was just interested in the idea of creative physical objects and what benefits or otherwise that gives us.
edit:BA, by the way that's a rather cool workplace.
A rail dolly system for cameras.
A rifle.
Do models count? I'm a bit of a LEGO junkie and build a few every year
If not, I made a steaming kit out of some old kitchenware a few months ago.

A rifle.
I guessing this falls more into custom assembly than making?
I'm assuming you didn't drill out the barrel, but choose a bunch of parts from various places and build a rifle to your own specification?
I do that with bikes, but for some reason I don't quite see it as making something;
maybe I feel that would require sawing/bashing/bending wood, steel or other base materials?

Again it's up to you do decide.
Your steaming kits sound nifty and a good example of creative recycling.

Then it would not be in my gun safe, would it.

Apparently if you didn't pour and form the plastic, then no.
I put together a couple franken-computers out of parts from a bunch of different non working ones last week. Scientists, with all their specific grants and such, can be extremely cheap when it comes to this stuff, so they'll go to the warehouse, get a pile of shit that's there for a reason, and bring it to me. Thanks for bringing trash to me, guys!

Oh and you forgot the bit about making the injection moulding die, having already forged the necessary hardened steel. :P

Actually I haven't.
I stopped building PCs once I moved fully to laptops. Haven't bought a desktop component since... 2006?
Computer. or I guess a giant excel budget template file, if that counts.
Human life.

Me neither - my limit's been swapping out or adding components, not doing a full build from scratch.
Gaming/dining table :nerd:
I make cars for a living, I don't know if that counts.
I think I created some print outs for an RPG session a few years ago.

It wasn't any particular one; when I carve, I just bring out what is there already more or less. I incorporated a couple of folds of odd-looking bark to make a bearded face wearing a mask.
Fuck that guy.
Alpha Flight was decent

I don't know if it counts but the Nagato in 1:350.
A playfort for my kids is the latest non-house repair thing I've built.
An IPA with fresh Cascade hops grown in a friend's backyard.

Nice work.
In the spring I built a 4'x8'x16" garden box. Then I filled it with soil and planted a garden in it.
Even if I didn't cut down the tree and individually plane the boards I still think it counts.
Of course with the recent snow on the ground I had to dig the last few carrots out of the ground and plow the whole thing over today. :(
Made a Bear Beer carrier. I'm getting into woodworking.

Bear Beer? Is that Chinese?
Just a play on words since I installed a bear head bottle opener thingie.
A couple of retaining walls and a terrace in the backyard, all of which thankfully survived hurricane Matthew.

4 feet off the ground, 8'x8'. I want to add a roof to it but my gf is already not happy about how much I've spent on this already.
Except for some ikea furniture, I built nothing lately.
I'm thinking about getting an Arduino and start tinkering with it with my son.

Yeah, that's a good idea; I was thinking of getting one of those or some Pi to play around with.
