Tonight's game should be fairly interesting, another one I look forward to is Eli's trashing of Patriots.
Since when has the NFL played a game on Tirsdag?
And what the hell is with those betting lines? No spread, no over/under.
And finally, did youse guys hear that the NFL wants to play 8 games in Blighty?
Yeah, Tuesday games must be a new thing.
Example: put $100 on the giants and you get $365 back, play it on the Patriots and it's only $135. It's how we usually play it here.

In case of a tie from regular play. It's left in there because there's always a tie option for football games.

How does that work? I put money on the Bears. The Bears tie. The magic number is 13 comma fifty. Do I win or lose?
If you put money on the Bears you lose all if they tie (even if they win the OT). If you put money on a tie and they tie you get your money back 13.5 times (no matter who wins or not in the OT), as I said it's rarely used for American football but very common for football and that's why the option is there.

The best thing about the Jets is that Rex Ryan is no longer their coach. He's doing a number on his former team, though.
Anyway while I'm here and this is a football thread, my son's 7 year old football team went 8-0 in their regular season, outscoring their opponents a combined 185-0 (one game was forfeited by the other team, resulting in an official 1-0 win). Based upon their playoff seeding they received a bye in the playoffs and won a 22-0 (much tougher game than the score indicated) victory in their second round playoff game. So this Saturday they play their "Super Bowl", which they're favored to win but I'm taking nothing for granted.
Tommy has progressed as a young football player. He impressed his coaches with key blocks, tackles, fumble recoveries in games and earned a starting position as offensive guard. I counted 10 pancakes for him this year before I lost count. Hopefully next year he'll start on defense as well.
The team as a whole is a great group of kids and I look forward to them (hopefully) playing together for the next 4 years and hopefully in some form into middle school and maybe even high school. The coaches have asked me to help coach next year so I'll get to be more involved.
Back to NFL, I didn't get on TV last Thursday but look for me Monday Night behind the Bengals bench (specifically behind the defensive backs).
Btw Yi, the tirsdag game is still Monday your time.
And now there's a game.
I'd have kicked the FG.
I've missed a lot of the NFL threads the past few weeks. Is Ed still complaining about Andy Dalton?

I've read nothing negative about Dalton.

Thanks! They won today, though unfortunately it was not a shutout. Other team put 6 points up on them to start the game-- coaches were livid. Tommy's team came back and scored on their next 4 possessions, shutting out the other team the rest of the game. I guess a combined season score of 237-6 isn't the end of the world.

Tend to agree, but still...you don't leave Brady nearly 2:00 to get a shot to get in field goal range. Trying to get that TD was a good idea...but you go for that grinding it out on the ground, not with throwing it up 3 times.
Ah, Oakland. Just when you started looking like ar eal football team you give me results like today to remind me of what you are. I won't even bother commenting on the pile of garbage in Cleveland that is an insult to shit for sharing the same color. :(

Meh. The DB knocked it out of his hands. Same thing happens when they're falling with two feet down and the ground knocks the ball out.
Would you guys consider that a catch and fumble outside the endzone?

The Saints are so horrified they made Kirk Cousins look like Tom Brady they have fired Rob Ryan. Well I guess that is something the Slurs can hang their hat on this season.

Yeah, I thought the Giants had that game. Good win by the Pats but I think I would rather have see them lose the game if it meant no injury to Edelman. He's been outstanding as a receiver. They already lost Lewis last week, another outstanding running back who makes a lot of plays for them.
Edelman had the same injury that Dez Bryant sudfered, he should be back for the playoffs.

What a slow, shitty, agonizing game. The kind of game where a 4-point deficit feels like 14. When Dalton decided to start throwing accurate passes, the receivers decided to drop them. And then AJ Green had his late 4th quarter fumble on a drive that would have put them ahead, just like last year at Pittsburgh.

This is fucking ridiculous. For yet another year I am the clear leader in points against.
