They need to get Elton and Curtis back, and Curtis seems to have a reasonably successful film career going so it will be hard.

Also, Baldrick is a Sir? Fair fucking play Liz.  :bowler:

They should let it rest and come up with something new.  Retreads don't work.

As much as I'd like to see more Blackadder, I'm inclined to agree. I don't want to have to pretend it never happened, like that Millennium episode.

But it would be interesting to see which period they pick. The 60's, or the 80's?

The Millenium episode wasn't *that* bad. It's a 7 on a series that almost always was a 9-10.

It's like The Meaning of Life, it has some really funny moments but on the whole it just doesn't have the same spirit and originality as what came before.

I liked when John Cleese walked away from Flying Circus and Fawlty Towers because he felt they couldn't maintain the quality of the series. That should be the only criterion, and you can't force it to happen.

I think The Meaning of Life is awesome. Absurdist humor and existencialism. True, it's not as roaringly funny as Brian or Holy Grail, but I'm glad that they made it.

If any sketches get wasted, God gets quite irate.

Well, he did get a lordship from Prince George.

If the Brits want to revive a TV comedy, revive Spitting Image.

It has been tried a few times over the years with different names but never really caught on.
Such is the way :(
