This was an ad in the local paper.

I am at a loss for words.
For real?

It's important to have a crematorium with integrity. Otherwise you end up just stacked in the basement:

There are lots of negatives about the nazis, but even their detractors have to admit they ran some of the most efficient and high volume crematory centers in history.

Sadly, yes. The gal in charge of ads said she really wasn't good with uniforms. So I suppose there was an equal chance of the ad depicting a person dressed as French Maid, A Roman Centurion, Robocop, or the Maytag repairman. On the plus side, I suppose there might be a job opening soon.
Well, it got your attention.

French Maids have a difficult relationship with urns of crematorial ashes. They are more likely to knock over the urn or vase and require a spanking than anything else. You don't want to have to worry this company is going to spill grandma all over the floor.

So does taking a shit in the street. Still I wouldn't advertise through the medium of public defecation.
Countdown to viral, nation-wide shit-storm and social media shaming...
Should Robocop's metal parts be considered a uniform? I don't remember, did he wear anything that actually identified him as police?
And Heer shouldn't be a big deal IMHO.

Lol, there's no way in hell that someone just chooses a Nazi soldier for a cremation add. A quick search on google for soldier, for soldier black and white photo, for wwii soldier, and wwii soldier black and white photo doesn't show them on the first few pages.
Probably some disgruntled newspaper employee doing an exit-troll.

She may have worked from a commercial image library that she has access to?

That does not really surprise me a whole lot. Several years ago I dressed up as an East German officer for Halloween and the wife dressed as a nun. As a joke the wife framed a pic of us in costume and I put it on my desk at work. Some nitwit girl from another department stopped by my desk to ask me something and saw the pic. She said, "Oh, I didn't know you had been in the army!"
