My primary monitor died. It has been a long time since i've bought one. ANy better than others? I want it to be on the large side with high definition.
30 inches? 1440p?
24 inches 1080p?
less?
I have this : http://www.amazon.com/ASUS-VS239H-P-23-Inch-Full-HD-Monitor/dp/B008DWITHI
I like it.
23-inch IPS is where it's at. I basically have the Acer equivalent to the one GF posted: Acer H236HL (http://www.amazon.com/Acer-H236HL-bid-23-Inch-Widescreen/dp/B00AZMLIDQ/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1432779682&sr=1-1&keywords=Acer+H236HL)
Why IPS Shame?
And/or GF
It offers better angle viewing than a TFT panel.
What good do those curvy ones give?

They actually narrow the viewing angle. The idea is that it's more comfortable to look at things on the periphery, especially if you're running multiple monitors. It's very much a niche thing, though- most people who aren't financial analysts or professional gamers don't have a need to spend that much on an edge (pun not intended) in peripheral vision.
Curved monitors might be gimmicky, but I kinda want to get myself one of these...

That would be cool to have. Huge though.
