Just wondering what people think - on one hand it makes the parliament closer to the popular pulse, on the other, it makes election cycles too frequent.

My country is a parliamentarian republic, not a presidential one like the USA. The very concept of midterm elections wouldn't make sense here as there would automatically be a change in executive power when the parliament changes majority.
