Hope he makes it... I love that guy.
QuoteNEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (AP) — State police say actor and comedian Tracy Morgan is in intensive care after the limousine bus in which he was riding in was involved in a multi-vehicle accident on the New Jersey Turnpike.
Sgt. First Class Greg Williams tells The Associated Press that the vehicle carrying the 45-year-old former ''Saturday Night Live'' and ''30 Rock'' cast member and six others was involved in a six-vehicle accident on the turnpike near Cranbury Township at about 1 a.m. Saturday.
A spokesman at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey, says a patient named Tracy Morgan is in critical condition there.
Williams says one person riding in the bus was killed. There was no immediate word on the condition of others involved in the accident.
Williams says two tractor-trailers, a sports utility vehicle and two cars, along with Morgan's limo bus, were involved in the accident.
The 45-year-old Morgan joined ''Saturday Night Live'' in 1996 and was on the sketch-comedy program for seven years before leaving to star in ''The Tracy Morgan Show'' in 2003. That show lasted just one season. In 2006, Morgan found a long-running role in NBC's hit show ''30 Rock,'' which was created by SNL co-star Tina Fey.
No 30 Rock reunion. :(
Hope he pulls through. :(

Morgan suffered several injuries, including broken ribs, a broken nose, a broken leg and a broken femur. He underwent surgery on his leg on Sunday, Kay said, noting any road to recovery would be a long one.
What's the difference between a broken femur and a broken leg?

Femur is just more specific. Broken leg could be a broken femur, broken tibia, or broken fibula (or multiple broken leg bones).
His ribs...
That guy got fat

I think that usually broken leg refers to broken tibia. That may explain why he has both a broken leg and a broken femur.
A broken femur is really fucked up and serious.
He was already pretty medically fragile. He had a kidney transplant a few years ago due to his diabetes.
And yeah... a femur is pretty serious. About as serious as it gets.
Yeah, you really would prefer to be unconscious after a car accident where your legs crumple like an accordion file. An open compound tib-fib is ugly, but an open femur is pretty goddamned nasty. Is that MY bone?
Ugh.
