Just for Spicy, I'm gonna watch the Bungles game. And root for the Ravens.

I'd like to think this last desperate defense at home by the Ravens could be the Bengals' Stalingrad, but I think they'd probably have more gunshot wounds on that side of town than Army Group B did.

Alfred Morris and RG3 are going to be just fine this is what I had grown to expect last year.  Let's see if the defense continues to make Christian Ponder look like Peyton Manning.

Whatever the outcome, I'm thinking Ray Rice is not going to have his typical 120 yards this weekend.

The way the offensive line is playing, Barry Sanders himself would be mailing it in.  Atrocious zone blocking bullshit.

That's part of it.  Also seems like Rice is going down too easily.  He used to break tackles, but not this year.  I suspect he's not as healthy as the Ravens claim he is.

It's hard to break tackles and make moves when you get obliterated by three guys two yards in the backfield.

Yeah, it would be one thing if it were just Ray Rice, but Pierce isn't getting shit, either.

I was listening to talk radio this AM, they had Greg Gumbel on, talking statistics;  apparently Rice and Pierce are both ranked at the bottom of the league for yards after contact, so it's not just Ray's hip.

Wow.  I would have thought Mr Glass himself, Darren McFadden, would have held that distinction.

I booed.

Then, when a Bengals player laid the same sort of hit on Flacco, no flag.  You'd almost think that Joe was one of those mobile QB.

Torrey Smith is having a nice game.

I missed all of the game except for overtime.  Was at a kids party in West Virginia.  Could have brought a portable TV but something told me not to bother.  That something was validated by the first half.  Wish I hadn't bothered to watch OT.

Bengals are just a shitty road team this year.  Thankfully they have just two more road games left.

QuoteEd Reed no longer had a use to the Houston Texans after he said he didn't like the way they were going about business.

The team released Reed, per John McClain of the Houston Chronicle, after the All Pro safety, who had been benched from the starting lineup, openly questioned the Texans' coaches on Sunday and backed up his statement on Monday.

Reed signed a three-year, $15 million deal with the Texans, viewed as a final piece to the puzzle as the team sought a run at the Super Bowl. But everything has fallen apart: Reed struggled to get healthy to start the season, didn't play well once he was ready, was benched and then said the Texans were "outcoached and outplayed" after playing a mere 12 snaps in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

On Monday, Reed said he "spoke the truth." He was upset about his benching from a few weeks ago.

It was the Texans' seventh straight loss, which has dealt a serious blow to their playoff chances. Now the Texans have decided to bite the bullet and part ways.

It's possible that Reed could return to the Baltimore Ravens to round out his career, but don't rule out another destination such as the New England Patriots, who could need safety depth if Steve Gregory is out for a while. Bill Belichick long has been an admirer of Reed's play. But if Reed is not done in the NFL, don't rule out the New York Jets and Rex Ryan, his former defensive coordinator, bringing him in for a visit.

I really hope that Reed doesn't end up back in Baltimore.  He was a great player and all that, but having him there won't fix the problem with the team:  Bad O-line play.
