LAX :bleeding:
Santa Barbara
Orange County
Avoid LAX at all costs if possible.
I don't recall any problems with LAX. Also one of the few airports I know of with an iconic look with that restaurant.
Meanwhile racist Orange County = :x

It's overcrowded as fuck? Clearing security at the other two is like clearing security in Louisville (i.e. takes like 5 minutes).

And that's different from any other major airport in a major city?

QuoteLOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Authorities were responding to a "multi-patient incident" at the Los Angeles International Airport on Friday and California media reported that a gunman with a high-powered rifle was shot by law enforcement.
The airport said on social media that there was "an incident underway at LAX." A local CBS affiliate reported that a gunman had been shot and secured by law enforcement, and that some passengers were being evacuated from a terminal.
Passenger Robert Perez told the CBS affiliate that airport security agents had come through the terminal shouting that a man had a gun.
"I heard popping and everybody dropped to the ground," Perez said.
The Los Angeles Fire Department described the situation as a "multi-patient incident," and said it was assisting law enforcement at the scene, according to its website.
Television images on cable network CNN showed at least one person being loaded into one of several ambulances at the scene, and passengers were seen being evacuated from the area.
Footage showed emergency responders setting up what appeared to be a triage area outside an airport terminal.
Airport police and airport officials would not offer any additional information.
I hope the bolded part is changed in later reports, like it usual.
Can we ask the President to stand down for not enforcing proper Force Protection?

You can. Let us know if he agrees.
Anyone can.

It's much more difficult for dead people.

It's not... and they all suck. :)
My point is that when going to LA I prefer the smaller airports. I feel the same way about going to and leaving from Chicago, which is part of the reason I use Midway.... which is crowded, but not as bad as O'Hare.

Ugh Midway is horrible. They have a total of one restaurant to get drunk in. Everything else is a bar and/or food court.
Thank you. :)
You have to understand that Cal has lived in Boston and Kentucky where people casually say racial epithets on a daily basis.

I watched Glory Road. That 100% historically accurate film told the world that all Kentuckians are Neo-Confederate bigots.
What a boring thread highjack. Is languish tired of the gun discussion?
Anyway:
Quote......TSA Officer Killed in LAX Shooting, Suspect in Custody
A gunman armed with an assault rifle entered a terminal at Los Angeles International Airport today, killed a TSA agent and wounded six other people before he was captured by police.
The shooting sent hundreds of passengers streaming out of the terminal with many fleeing onto the airport runway. Dozens of flights to and from the airport were delayed or cancelled. It also triggered a "tactical alert" for the Los Angeles Police Department.
Can you imagine the mess if someone had gotten run over by a plane or sucked into an engine? :(
Man I cannot even get my shaving cream to the terminal and this bastard got an assault rifle?

Security was distracted by looking for shaving cream.

Yeah, but the connections can be a real pain. Its is often more convenient to fly into LAX - but then you have to drive from there. :x
I was there for a week last month. When I checked into my hotel, the front desk clerk said "How can I help you?", not "I HATE NIGGERS!" Nor did I hear anyone else should that or anything similar the whole time I was there. :)

Is that the usual form of greeting in other areas?
I mean, if a whole area is labeled 'racist', that's what I would expect to happen there. :bowler:
