Just heard from Moldovan friends that apparently there's quite a lot going on over there with their latest election. Doesn't seem to be mentioned on the major news sources. Apparently quite some rumblings though.
The ruling communist party (wtf?) has rigged the elections and there is evidence of a few hundred thousand dead people voting for them. There's been street protests today and they're set to pick up.
Has anyone seen much on this?
Back when colour revolutions were the in thing they were always picked up even in the Stans. Now though nada.
Nothing will come of this. These sorts of things don't go anywhere without Western aid, and Western foreign policy is run from Moscow now.
Anschluss with Romania?
Hmm...what color best represents Moldova?

both the BBc and Der Spiegel have run an article on it. Expect the russians to create problems.

If that was true we would only be able to send aid to about 10 countries.

Number of North Americans who have heard of Kyrgyzstan? I would gather very few.

The main fraud happened when several thousand dead people were discovered to have "voted" in the elections. So the mask represents one of them :)
LOL Bulgarians, Romanians and other assorted Balkanitards are funny.
Still, we need to have shitty parts of Europe there, so the sex workers' fees don't go through the roof.
Stalin will have to send in the tanks to ensure that Bessarabia remains in proper hands

Not worth the BRPs.
Russia doesn't have the means to do it. It doesn't share a border, Ukraine will never let it pass through its territory and the 14th Army intervention (which is basically a group of drunk Russian soldiers with outdated equipment) will be the nail in the coffin for Voronin.

I doubt the Russians would be too keen on getting involved here anyway given Transniterthingy (no idea how to spell it. Transdni....something)
Is everything in Trans-Dniester still okay? I'd hate for lawlessness or corruption to spread to that region.
:P
