Not quite that bad here but I'm still shopping for some better blinds.

Indeed, that's why they wanted to drain the swamp, to make a new and bigger one with a ballroom.

Jenrick would sell his soul to the devil for sixpence.

Re the anti-semitism, the recent census recorded 277,000 Jews living in the UK, so quite a small demographic. Proportionally the anti-semitic attacks are far worse than many realise.

I just still don't understand how big of an idiot one would have to be to invest in SpaceX. The company is barely profitable and has little prospect of growth. Musks recent pronouncements of building a giant chip fab in Austin is so delusional and detached from reality it boggles the mind...I mean even more than usual.

But none of this has made any sense to me.

Quote from: garbon on May 19, 2026, 03:05:08 AMA couple random observations from my time in Porto.

1) The international departures lounge has a functional Street Fighter II arcade.

2) My brain is going to have to erase the information I learned about how to successfully update one's metro card to a new destination.

  • Select recharge card
  • Put card in reader
  • Select change title
  • Select zone
  • Select add title
  • Select number of titles
  • Select invoice without tax payer ID
  • Select pay with card
  • Insert card
  • Enter okay on key pad
  • Enter pin on key pad
  • Remove credit card
  • Take travel card and receipt

Besides the transit how did you like porto?

This is the time of year when there's just about 4-5 hours of darkness in Norway. I am up, sipping a strong (too strong, really) coffee, proud that I managed 6 hours of sleep. The sun is up too, the morning dew glistens in the grass.
And reminds me I need to cut it.

It is a beautiful day. Have a good one, people.

Forest have had the rub of the green with VAR in a few games, most importantly away at West Ham. Then there was the obvious handball at Old Trafford where the ref stood by his mistake after watching the replay.
Thankfully, it was a meaningless game.

Bournemouth, to me, has been the surprise over-achievers. The signing of Rayan may very well be one of the best in years.

So, excitement into the very final matchday, but in the wrong end of the table.

If you want a conspiracy against penalties it's Sunderland you need to look to.
Brobbey is fouled all the damn time. But because he is so big and strong and can just shrug off basically any attack he doesn't get the decisions.

I will hold off until the final table but I think my start of season predictions might have been right in a few places. Certainly I had arsenal to win....
Though I also had spurs doing well

Yeah, it was really an enjoyable day out. And I took well over 100 photos and a few videos, though the ones of aquariums and terrariums didn't turn out great due to lighting. -_-
