Sure BB claims the title of POLOT, but it is a ceremonial position of a no-longer existent place. This is, after all, Languish Off the Record, not Languish OT.
It's a bit like having a succession crisis for the King of France or whatever. France is a Republic. No need to get worried about some pretender with no mandate.

BB is de facto president for life; although constitutionally, I'd argue he gave up the title when he went into self imposed exile a couple years ago ;)

I'm the President-elect of the Kentucky-southern Indiana chapter of the PMI (basically, professional organization for project managers) and I truly didn't want the position, but nobody good was standing up for election and so I ran because I wanted to make sure some idiot who would screw up didn't get elected. One of the issues, when I was there, was how to improve campus security; so the university put together a joint student-faculty-administration task force called (without irony) The Committee of Public Safety. So if anyone plans to run on a Reign of Terror platform, I'd like to offer my services as a running mate; I have the experience, I've been there.

My last year of university/law school I put in my name to be the student government rep for the law school. I won by the two sweetest words in the english language - De Fault!
But being a 24 year old professional degree student gave you a ton of credit amongst a bunch of undergrads. I wound up being the Chairperson AND chair of the finance committee. I made friends with the President (who wound up in Parliament for a time) and had great fun. Our mortal enemies were the Grad Students, who always took up with the crazy left-wing topics.
So I disagree that is the "wrong crowd" :mad:
