Gonna go watch my first game tuesday. toronto vs yankees. yay?

Huzzah!  Have a good time!

Here is a song for you:

Well, Mr. Burns had done it.
The power plant had won it.
With Roger Clemens clucking
all the while.
Mike Scioscia's tragic illness
made us smile.
While Wade Boggs lay unconscious on
the barroom tile.

We're talkin'...
Baseball.
From Maine to San Diego.
Talking'...
Baseball.
Mattingly and Canseco.

Ken Griffey's grotesquely swollen jaw.
Steve Sax and his run-in with the law.
We're talkin' Homer...
Ozzie, and the Straw.
Quote"This is a Russian warship. I propose you lay down arms and surrender to avoid bloodshed & unnecessary victims. Otherwise, you'll be bombed."

Zmiinyi defenders: "Russian warship, go fuck yourself."

:worthy:  Nice fucking choice!  A few guys and I have taken that up as our official bar song since opening day.
"Everything that brought you here -- all the things that made you a prisoner of past sins -- they are gone. Forever and for good. So let the past go... and live."

"Somebody, after all, had to make a start. What we wrote and said is also believed by many others. They just don't dare express themselves as we did."

Fun experience. i was one of the many in the chorus of taunting the yankees. much more fun in person then on tv. No commerecials and seems much faster.

Happy Frickin Halladay to you.

Nice game by the Sox, Papi's finally swinging well.

A great article on why the morons who constantly bleat that this time pitcher X is really the last 300 game winner are wrong.

And the Buccos trade away another seasoned player - this time McLouth - to take on board new talent.

At least McCutchen came through in his debut; we'll see if he can keep it up.

Hitters         AB R H RBI BB SO #P  AVG OBP
A McCutchen CF  4  3 2  1  1  0  19 .500 .600
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

You know...because I'm talking about it now, everything will be ruined, but I can't help it anymore:

Texas 31 22 .585

  It's...just....beautiful.

And whataya know - the Royals still suck.  Some things never change after 20+ years.
