Currently I'm using my mouse, a Logitech Performance MX, directly on the surface of my glass desk. It looks good and all that with no ugly mouse pad on there, etc, but goddammit when I clean the desk, which I do fairly frequently, it gets too smooth for the laser to track consistently, meaning the pointer will kind of skip around. I usually end up trying to "dirty" the general mouse area up, but then I just want to clean it again. :P
I was looking around on Amazon after playing Skyrim and having my dude basically tweaking out like a methhead because the pointer was skipping around, and came across a couple that are described as "clear." Obviously, the pictures aren't all that informative.
Does anyone have one of these or have any experience using one with a laser mouse? I don't want to basically have another glass surface that can be a bit spotty at times as far as tracking is concerned, but I also would prefer to keep the...glass look.
