I assume the part about the court always ruling against him?

Yeah Donald, if you committed fewer crimes they wouldn't rule against you.

I think one of the silver linings of the Trump legacy is the fact his appointments to the bench have not been in the bag for Trump.

It is because he pretty much let the right wing culture war people pick them for him, rather than picking his personal cronies...presuming he has any that could be judges.

Yeah. I feel like I've heard historians talk about this and say the suspicions about Illinois are possibly a little overblown, but Texas deserves more focus.

Outrageous slander!

In our system it is very hard to appoint judges who will be "in the bag" for you on a personal level. That is why they pick ideologues who you hope stay true to their ideological fervor and don't stray over time. Expecting personal loyalty from someone who gets an untouchable lifetime appointment...just not going to happen unless you have some like personal compromat over them that you could threaten them with once they are on the bench.

Red checkmark, so I assume this was on Truth Social.

So Kanye apparently asked Trump to be his vice-president for Kanye's 2024 presidential run

Quote"The thing that Trump was most perturbed about [is] me asking him to be my vice president," Kanye said in one of the videos published on his recently-unlocked Twitter account on Thanksgiving night. "I think that was, like, lower on the list of things that caught him off guard."

...

In the bizarre campaign announcement video, West said that Trump wasn't too happy with his plans for higher office.

"When Trump started basically screaming at the table telling me I was gonna lose, I mean, has that ever worked for anyone in history? I'm like, 'wait, hold on Trump, you're talking to Ye,'" the Grammy winner said.

You know, I feel that if Kanye had run for the GOP nomination in 2020 he had a shot at getting it (if the GOP actually had a nomination process in all states).

I think the last couple years have not been kind to Ye.

Of course much of it has been Ye not being kind to Ye.

There seems to be a pattern....

Well, in Kanye West's case he can at least claim mental health reasons.

I was very happy to see this and hope more verdicts like this are on their way.

Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.

Trump loses his appeal to 11th Circuit, which unanimously decides that Canon had no authority to appoint a special master.  Canon gets especially slammed in the decision.  All three judges appointed by Republicans, two of them by Trump himself.

He also lost, in DC Circuit, his claims that his lawyers testifying in front of Jan 6 Committee could invoke executive privilege at will.  They'll be back.

Very bad legal day for Trump.
