I was just thinking the morning about how it's odd the US and Britain (and Ireland  :ph34r:) have such fundamentally different views of Puritans.

Well the Puritans went on to be anti-slavery activists. That kind of made up for all the genocide and witch burning...besides the rest of us can't really hold the genocide against them that much.
