Dharma apparently introduced government reforms, but that's by now probably a free feature. Else it would be better than the mechanics in most other DLCs.

Mandate of Heaven has some good mechanics.

The Leviathan and Cradle of Civilization mechanics are ok. I would miss some of  them now, but I guess the game is fine without them.

Emperor is meh, but it significantly adds to the Catholic faith mechanics, which might be interesting for playing in Iberia.

Domination has no new mechanics, so count it with the other immersion packs. Pretty power creepy though. Same with King of Kings. Had fun games with Yemen and with Ak Quonlyu.

Rule Britannia has a ok content with Anglicanism and Naval Doctrines, but Innovativeness seems fairly inconsequential. Never got to the Industrial age so I have no idea what it adds.

Golden Century adds the orders for Iberians, flagships and barrages are also helpful, especially to exploit certain Portuguese strengths.

Origins, Third Rome, Lion of the North don't add anything you need if you don't play in those regions.

PS: For Portugal there is great mod called "Beyond the Cape".

Quote from: grumbler on May 11, 2024, 08:29:20 AMThe Hamas charter talks about Jews living peacefully in an Islamic Palestine, so the genocide talk is overblown.  The plight of Jews in an Islamic Palestine would not be pleasant given that Hamas thinks that the arrivals since 1948 should be expelled and their land returned to Palestinians, but that's a far cry from genocide.

Just ethnic cleansing.

GOP members compromised by Russia, says GOP

Prominent GOP members say some of their colleagues have been compromised by Russia.

Obviously, MJT is in the list.

Quote from: Barrister on May 10, 2024, 11:06:18 AMBy the way here's Rex's last column, filed a day before his death.  He certainly was not going gently into the night as he just blasts Trudeau for ignoring October 7th.

https://nationalpost.com/opinion/rex-murphy-trudeau-faced-an-essential-moral-test-after-oct-7-he-failed-it

What a dreadful, overblown commentary.  The idea that the West somehow "failed" because the victims were Jews completely ignores the world we live in.  Incidents far worse than October 7 have occurred across the world since 1990:  Rwanda, Darfur, and even, right now, in Sudan.  The West is simply selective in how strongly it reacts to such tales (the response to Srebrenica was stronger because closer to home).  Murphy also ignores the fact that Trudeau did on Oct 8 exactly what Murphy called on him to do:  condemn Hamas and its attack as "horrifying and shocking" and mentioning its "brutality."

Also, any time I read a columnist whose evidence is "I hear that..." I dismiss him as a ideologue.
