For me a big factor is that it's not grid-based. I wish Cities Skylines 2 had that.

Off the Record / Vote in the Catalan election
Last post by celedhring - Today at 03:19:38 AM
After the current pro-Indy left minority Catalan government (the pro-indy left/right coalition broke down a couple years ago) failed to pass the budget, they called a snap election, which is being held on May 12. And in languish tradition, here we are to fake-vote for people on account on how they look.

Also, there's a non-zero possiblity that this will be followed by a "Vote in the Spanish election" thread, given how interesting (in the Chinese curse meaning of the word) things are down here at the moment.

The demo was quite enjoyable. Haven't played enough to elaborate on the actual early access.
Looks gorgeous though, and runs quite well so far.
I'm pretty sure people with more esthetic sense than I will make awesome city journals with this

Thanks a lot. Yeah, I was going to run a few turns to freshen up the rules, since it's been a while since I last played it.

There also seems to be a reasonable attempt at verosimilitude, too. I'm intrigued.

I liked this compare/contrast analysis video of the filmic styles of old vs new Trek:

From what I've seen in e.g. OPB's gameplay video, it comes with a strategic layer, i.e. you're not only building one village, but there's competing villages to interact with or land to grab from.
