Naturally, she's a Chappaqua native.

Well.... I was thinking because of the black vote, but okay.

It was really a slight dig at her supposed carpet-bagging back when she squared off against the formidable Rick Lazio in 2000, with the Chappaqua part included for, well... just Minsky's benefit I guess. ;)

I got it. I'm from Illinois - her actual hometown. :P

It would not be the first time they do a stunt together.

This is US politics, and we're talking about Hillary Clinton who's in the hotbox with the GOP at every turn. ANYTHING can still happen.

My point was that Sanders is down, but not necessarily out.

Exactly!  I'm not just making this up out of nowhere.

And it's not as if McMahon is unfamiliar with politics.  His wife, Linda McMahon, ran twice for the GOP in conneticut - lost both times.  But then Linda McMahon is not the showman that Vince (and Trump) is.

And if people don't care about Trump scamming people with his fake university, don't care about his multiple bankruptcies, well then the many skeletons in Vince's closet (steroids, sexual harassment lawsuits) pale in comparison.

And the Trump-McMahon connectin goes back at least as far as Wrestlemania IV in 1988, hosted in one of Trump's casinos.

Posts here are my own private opinions.  I do not speak for my employer.

Florida Governor Rick Scott finally endorsed Trump today, but he pretty much endorsed Trump back in January.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/2016-gop-primary-live-updates-and-results/2016/03/rick-scott-endorses-trump-220864

Thus, Scott could also be a good pick for Trump's VP:
- rich outsider businessman with no political experience before current office
- swing state governor (second term ending Jan 2019)
- military veteran
- ignored Bush and Rubio despite being a fellow Floridian

He is also a fellow scumbag.

I'm embarrassed. I've been making the mistake of associating with you. It won't happen again. :)

Habbaku

The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. Give me a king whose chief interest in life is stamps, railways, or race-horses; and who has the power to sack his Vizier (or whatever you care to call him) if he does not like the cut of his trousers.

Government is an abstract noun meaning the art and process of governing and it should be an offence to write it with a capital G or so as to refer to people.

The counter argument is this: who is the "establishment"? At the core I'd say elected republican senators, governors, and congressmen.

The most numerous of that group are congressmen. They are mostly in safe districts, and thus mostly chosen by republican primary voters, and elected every two years.

Senators are congressmen.  The word you're looking for is "representative".

Trump opts to avoid Megan Kelly again....

QuoteWEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Republicans have reportedly canceled Monday's scheduled debate after GOP front-runner Donald Trump announced he would not attend.

"I think we've had enough debates," Trump said Wednesday on Fox News, which was to have hosted the debate.

The local Fox affiliate in Salt Lake City reported the cancellation on Wednesday, citing a representative for the Salt Palace Convention Center.

Hours after Trump's announcement, an aide to John Kasich said the Ohio governor also would not attend if Trump does not show.

"No debate in SLC (Salt  Lake City) Monday due to Trump backing out," tweeted Kasich adviser John Weaver. "No surprise Trump avoiding contrast."

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, the third candidate in the Republican race, denounced Trump's decision to skip the debate, calling him "Ducking Donald."

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio pulled out of the race after losing his home state Tuesday to Trump.

Trump said he only recently learned about the Monday Salt Lake City debate and already has a commitment that same night. The GOP front-runner is scheduled to address the American Israel Public Affairs Committee's annual conference that same day.

Funny ad but I don't think Trump should be emphasizing the need to be taken seriously overseas.

Bad for Kasich.  Just when he would have gotten actual speaking time and media view being on a 3-man stage, the lights were turned off.

They're gonna respect him worldwide.  They're gonna have more respect for him than all previous presidents combined.  You're gonna love how much they respect him.  He's gonna negotiate all sorts of great deals for the US.  Just wait and see.  You're gonna love those deals.

Great.
