Don't think he'll get much further than his father.

I think you are wrong.  He's offering something different, (Not something I like of course), and he combines it with real charisma, intelligence and discipline.  This may not be his time (he's still young), but he's a guy with a future.
I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011

I agree.  He won't get the GOP nomination this time around, but he will go further than Ron.

Maybe cataract surgery.

You can however purchase Rand Paul flip-flops and this cool eye chart from his campaign store:

So, what's Languish' opinion on her? Can she make it this time? Too late for her (she'd be in her late 70s if she became a two term president)? Has her stint as Secretary of State under Obama damaged the goods somewhat?

I'm making a bid to move back to the US in 2016 and I would love to have a non-nuts president.

jimmy olsen

If she gets nominated I'd say she'd be the favorite, but its early. Another Dem could catch fire in the primaries, maybe she makes a gaffe that does permanent damage, maybe the GOP candidate turns out to be more capable than expected, maybe the base doesn't turn out enough, who knows. Tons of things could still derail her.
It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

I just hope we avoid the seemingly inevitable Bush vs. Clinton match-up.

The 90s are back, man! Jurassic Park and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, X-Files and Twin Peaks on the telly, Doc Martens boots, Clinton vs Bush... I feel like I'm a teenager again

I'm impressed that she was actually able to make the video, given how confused she says she gets with handling electronic thingys.    ;)

bet a friend $200 that hillary will win the presidency. here's to 2016!

Good hedging idea.  She'd be a pretty lackluster president but at least you'd get $200 out of it.

Is there a Republican who would make a better President?
