Currently Trump is polling at 39% nationally. Carter (1980) and Mondale both managed to get 41%. Goldwater and McGovern both got 38%.

If the House doesn't flip, they will still lose many seats and the Freedom Caucus will make it ungovernable for Ryan. The GOP will not be able to elect a speaker.

In a Captain Carrot like moment, I've been wondering why no one called Trump out on how he said hambre when he meant hombre. I haven't seen anything on the late night circuit.  Typing it into google though, people were indeed calling him out.

On Wednesday night during the final presidential debate, when asked about his thoughts on immigration and border protection (as if we didn't already know) Trump decided to test his entry-level español and uttered , "We have some bad hombres here and we're going to get them out."

The problem is that what he actually said was hambres – hambre meaning hungry or hunger in Spanish, so food trucks and restaurants across the nation decided this was the perfect opportunity to showcase some ingenious menu specials.
