Played Multiplayer Commander Battles yesterday. Each player picks a troop type. He then spawns with a number of bots of the same type and command those. I played as Austrian dragoons and Russian hussars.

Great fun.

While playing Tribes Ascend a few minutes ago, I achieved a zen like state with the Doombringer class. I shot many fuckers with the rocket launcher, turning the base into a no fly zone.

In the beta I had a lot of fun skiing through bases and suicide-spamming grenades in people's faces. It reminded me a bit of Team Fortress Classic and my Suicidal Pyro days. Rage-inducing good times.

I'm playing the DayZ mod for Arma2. It's still rough in an alpha state but the most fun I've had online in a while. Think of a Stalker-MMO with permadeath, injury modeling, food and drink and other survival-horror goodness. No anomalies or weird monsters, but 28 days later style infected and NPC and PC bandits and murderers keep you on your toes. Day-night cycle is in real time. Your character is saved persistently on a central server so you can take your loot from server to server without losing it, barring being murdered, eaten or robbed. It's only going to get better. I go by the handle 'Bin Laggin', same as my steam name and try to play on the Seattle/Chicago/Dallas servers.

I've been playing Sins of a Solar Empire again.  I bought Trinity the other day even though I already owned vanilla Sins.  The Two expansions were $9.99 each, Trinity was $19.99.  I hate it when they do that.

Anyway, this game has come a long way from the day it was released.  Having a good time with it.

E:  I'm using the Stargate Races mod for the first time tonight, and the goddamn Ancients and Ori are ridiculous.  The thing says they have fewer ships so it balances things out, but it doesn't matter at all (and they don't really seem to have many fewer ships anyway).  One of their regular ships can skull fuck 10 or so Kodiak cruisers + their escort + a number of defense structures no problem.  Forget about a capital ship:  those take waves.  I'm thinking I need to tone those races down a little for the sake of balance.  It's kind of stupid watching a regular non capital ship just cruise through a huge minefield, emerge with more than 50% shields, and continue on to annihilate the home defense fleet, all the hangars, and all the gauss turrets.   

I'm about to send my Home Fleet against an Ori fleet that just wiped out a planet of mine defended by ~56 fighters and bombers, 5 gauss turrets, a repair platform that covers all of them, and a minefield that surrounded all of them.  They only brought like five real ships. 

E2: Nevermind...their "mothership" moved to an adjacent system and is in the process of soaking up damage from, no shit, 800 points worth of ships. lolz it's alone and just sitting there taking it while blowing up ships one by one.  This needs editing.    One of the problems with mods.
