Been playing Combat Mission Beyond Normandy.  Overall pretty good, some things I find annoying.  The Germans all have radios at the platoon level. <_<  Also the scenario creators always feel the need to put in a few Panthers.  "Oh the Americans get a platoon of Shermans, I suppose I should add in a few Panthers to balance it out.  Or maybe a couple of Tigers".  Fuck you.  At least the missions aren't as hard as the ones in Shock Force where the first mission is "Take this platoon and wipe out an entrenched regiment".

At the Battalion level and sometimes Company, but not Platoon.  Not for infantry.  Fuck, many of the Germans you fight are Slavs.  Several of the units that faced the US initially were Ost Battalions.

The Ost bicycle battalions were great in The Longest Day.  The trick was finding where in the hell there were supposed to start at.

There are many scenarios they just plain don't give you arty.

"Oh the enemy has a platoon of Tiger tanks.  Here's a 1 60mm mortar, some rifle grenades, and a pointy stick.  We'll send you another 60mm mortar and some useless TDs in maybe an hour.  Good Luck!"

It's bad enough when the Germans bring in Panther tanks.

Rules:
Germans always get the first shot.
If you are not buttoned up, someone will kill your commander.
German commanders are invincible.
Your first shot will always miss.
Fuck You.
Nothing you have will penetrate a German tank.
Any  German vehicle needs to be penetrated at least 3 times before the crew is harmed or even notices.
German's laugh at your pathetic attempts to hide in foxholes, trenches or buildings.

For some reason I own Batman Arkham Asylum.  So I gave it a spin.  Lot of fun.  I'm wondering if I should spring for an X box controller.  Probably not since I've never held an X-box controller and it's probably something like forty bucks.

I loved the first PE game, lots of fun.   I was actually just looking at it on ebay the other day since my copy has vanished in the last ten years.
