How did they become so powerful?  Because back in the good old days, they all would have been swinging from ropes.

It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.

The white supremacists or the minorities?
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein's brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops.

The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.   -G'Kar

The convicts.

This, of course, actually just makes it creepier.

If it was a gang thing I'm not worried - gangs get prosecuted by specialized prosecutors.

But if someone is willing to kill over a fairly routine prosecution?  Like the ones I do?  Yikes.
