That sucks. For what it's worth, if you can find Orion Pirates you don't actually need SFC 2 at all, there's a mod that runs all the SFC2 content under the Orion Pirates .exe.

If they made the ship to ship battles feel like SFB I'd actually be sorely tempted, but probably no one else would play.

have it as it was in Bridge Commander. Much more accessible and you still need a sense of strategy as you cycle through your shields while keeping as many phasor banks to the enemy as possible.
