Do they explain what 'neofeudal colonization' means?

AFAICT it's a synonym for "neoliberal financial colonization," which is a synonym for "lending."

I mean, it's hard to dispute that financialization has devastated the West, but I don't know what he means by some of the terms he's throwing around.

Languish has decided that the author is a kook, therefore any definitions are irrelevant.

My understanding is that the exotic financial instruments are just "financialization," whereas to qualfiy for full-on "financial colonization" you need to be providing credit to folks who can't resist the urge to borrow and spend (or borrow and speculate).

I thought that the circular argument where "financialization" was listed as a cause of the drop in the earning power of the middle class but then shown as a result of the drop in the earning power of the middle class was a nice touch.

Purchasing power =/= earning power.

Yeah, some authors hurt themselves by relying too much on too many terms that they make up on the fly.  Unless they're just writing for the echo chamber.

Yes, and often the echo chambers come up with their own individual lexicons and stumbling into their world for a second is incomprehensible. You need to study that before you can even communicate with the people.

I've given it serious thought. I must scorn the ways of my family, and seek a Japanese woman to yield me my progeny. He shall live in the lands of the east, and be well tutored in his sacred trust to weave the best traditions of Japan and the Sacred South together, until such time as he (or, indeed his house, which will periodically require infusion of both Southern and Japanese bloodlines of note) can deliver to the South it's independence, either in this world or in space.  -Lettow April of 2011
