I know the meaning of the words "poor," "starving," and "malpractice."

However, one of us does not know the meaning of the words "bona fide office" or how, in some jurisdictions, this is in fact a requirement to practice.

Also, if I go out tomorrow and "hustle" it won't say that on the arrest report, it'll say "barratry."

Also also, I know it's difficult to fix that "IF = Ideologue, THEN = unemployed" code, but I do in fact already have a 50 hour a week job that pays pretty well.

In "some" jurisdictions.  Lemme give you a quick and dirty answer for that: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bar_examination#Multistate_Bar_Examination_.28MBE.29

What in the world does that have to do with the bona fide office rule?

That you could waive into a jurisdiction that doesn't have it.
OK, I seriously seem to have a problem with hitting "post" before stopping to actually think tonight.

Phone book.  Business cards.  Hanging out at the court house. Ready to roll on Pookie's bail review 10 minutes after meeting his mother. Solicitation.

Damn, son.  Grow some fucking balls.  Get out there, and eat what you kill.  Fuck.

Bolded for emphasis.  In less restricted states, paralegals hang out there and bilk the masses on help filling out simple forms.  You wouldn't have to stick to simple forms.  Where's your entrepeneurial spirit, dude? :P

No shit.  Kids these days don't know the meaning of the word "hustle".  ZOMG I NEED AN OFFICE FIRST  Fuck that.  Your briefcase is your office.  Make house calls in the 'hood.  You are: The Honda Lawyer.

I'm not going to tell Ideo what to do, but I have known some really good lawyers who essentially work out of their car and have no office.  Smartphone and portable printer, will travel.

The problem with Hinds, iirc, was that they were supposed to do too much, and as a result were neither a good troop carrier nor an especially effective gunship, and rather bad indeed at anti-tank operations and awful in the (entirely fictional, but I'm pretty sure I saw serious people write about it) helicopter air superiority role.  Still, it was still probably the second best in the gunship role in the world, and ultimately their downfall was sophisticated MANPADS handed out like candy by bad U.S. governments to overseas moral abominations.

Maybe I'm making a lot of this up.  Don't care.  I mean, it's technically an aircraft, and thus in my ambit, but I'm no longer as excited about helicopters as I was in my youth. Can it lay waste a city?  Then why did they bother to put it in the sky?

It was a fairly good support gunship, it just didn't fill the same role as dedicated anti-tank helos. Performance problems when carrying troops would probably have been much less pronounced in other theaters. Afghanistan is just too fucking high.

It is far better for the truth to tear my flesh to pieces, then for my soul to wander through darkness in eternal damnation.

Jet: So what kind of woman is she? What's Julia like?
Faye: Ordinary. The kind of beautiful, dangerous ordinary that you just can't leave alone.
Jet: I see.
Faye: Like an angel from the underworld. Or a devil from Paradise.
