This story illustrates well the Canadian French-English divide.

French:  "The wonders of living in a monarchy!"
English:  "Oh, just another corruption story from Quebec!"

:P
I wonder why it's always the federalists who get caught in corruption scandals though.  Either the seperatists are way more intelligent, or they are way more honest ;)

So true.

Anyway, Viper and the Queen should get a room. This love-hate thing is getting old for the rest of us.  :P
The object of life is not to be on the side of the majority, but to escape finding oneself in the ranks of the insane—Marcus Aurelius

The Minsky Moment

The Queen should confirm her prerogative powers and tell the Canadian court to stand down.

Then she should attaint Thibault for corruption and treason, transport her to Tyburn, and hang her.  Prerogative is a double edged sword . . .
The purpose of studying economics is not to acquire a set of ready-made answers to economic questions, but to learn how to avoid being deceived by economists.

Given your obsession I think you'd make an exception for the queen :perv:

On a creepy sort of tangent, someone bought a used pair of the queens panties recently. ick.
Being lazy is bad; unless you still get what you want, then it's called "patience".
Hubris must be punished. Severely.

You might think that, I couldn't possibly comment.
First Maxim - "There are only two amounts, too few and enough."
First Corollary - "You cannot have too many soldiers, only too few supplies."
Second Maxim - "Be willing to exchange a bad idea for a good one."
Second Corollary - "You can only be wrong or agree with me."

A terrorist which starts a slaughter quoting Locke, Burke and Mill has completely missed the point.
The fact remains that the only person or group to applaud the Norway massacre are random Islamists.
