digesting the various rodents and birds she ruthelessly murdered last night:

Awwww

I miss having a little fluffy but effective killer living with me. :(

We tried belling her to reduce the carnage. It did no good. Her usual approach is to lurk in the bushes and leap out on something small and helpless - by the time they hear the bell, her canines are meeting in their backbone.

One peculiarity - she has very few guard-hairs. All you see is undercoat. Makes her fur very soft.

Also, her fur makes incredible camoflauge at night - much more effective than all black. The mottled grey just fades into the shadows, even knowing exactly where she is you can't see her unless she moves.

Hopefully, she kills every rabbit she comes across. Rabbits are vermin.

She's pretty cowardly in her choice of prey - she never touches anything big enough to actually put up a fight.

It is pretty amusing seeing her reaction to raccoons and vice versa. They totally ignore each other - won't even *look* in each other's direction.
