Is anyone familiar with rights management solutions for Microsoft Word files? I'm working on a project with a couple friends where we would essentially sell a couple Word documents for $15. We want to make sure the files can be uniquely protected so that they can't be shared(i.e. beyond password protection). Is there a realistic solution that won't cut too significantly into our profits?

Would you be better off converting the Word document to PDF and protecting that instead?  I thought PDF had much better rights management capabilities there (and it is more accessible than Word documents).

The documents need to be editable by users. So can't use .pdf.

Are they templates or forms?  Because PDFs can actually be made editable for forms...
