well first off those monks would be transgender women, not Trans men. :contract: and secondly as DP says I can't imagine this being much of a problem. no swine flu in Thailand I guess.... gotta make up some news.

Yeah, this was only in foreign news as far as I know, and I'm guessing the foreign reporter specifically asked about this in order to get a story, and got a response about how they need to be modest as well.  Thai news was obsessed with Swine Flu at the time, as there were several people hospitalized with symptoms.

No they wouldn't.  They were born men, and so men is what they are.
