That's more than the people who turned up in HK.

And for some reason, half of them are expats.

Gosh, I wonder why people who live in the PRC might be shy about protesting.

Tanks for this analysis.

On a very rare occasion puns are good.

Let this mark the one and only occasion where I agree with both Martinus and Ideo.

In an apparent act of solidarity, some Russians climbed onto a mast of the famous ship, the Aurora, in Saint Petersburg and flew the Jolly Roger.  :pirate

The occupy London one slept over in front of St Paul's last night.  The Canon of St Paul's spoke to them this morning and said that they're generally supportive of the protests and as long as the people are tidy they're welcome to stay.  He asked the police to back off a bit and not try and force them out, as it's the Cathedral's land I don't know if the police can do anything in face of an offer of sanctuary
I can't help but cringe knowing that some of the usual suspects for protests are bound to be there and they certainly won't be keeping things tidy...

Is the Hipster Spring upon us?

Martinus

Yup. That's why the hipster revolution happens in October - very old school/ironic.

Huh.  It is Oktyabr.  I just realized.  Neat.  Technically, though, we should wait till November. -_-

But there's no day like segodnya.

Well, it's typically hipsterish to go for something old school but get it wrong.

Hopefully all of them do that.

That's why Martinus, for all his spending on the trappings of wealth and taste, will never really have class.  He's just trying too hard to be something he isn't (an intelligent, tasteful gentleman), trying desperately to hide what he is (Polish trash with money and a severe behavioral disorder), and it shows in everything he says and does.  He's not our equal, not by a mile.

Speaking of Hipsters, I have an urge to beat them with a tire iron every time I see one.

They were doing some "Occupy Cincinnati" march this weekend which made traffic even worse when we were driving home after the Cincinnati-Louisville football game.

I was hoping to see some fistfights between college football fans & protesters, but it was mostly just yelling at each other.

I'd really like to see a college football fan set on fire.  I hate those people, clogging up my already terrible city with their Gamecock bullshit.
