I'm downloading it now. Recommend mods, settings, and styles of play that will entertain me.  I've taken tomorrow off so as to play further.

The medievals were only too right in taking nolo episcopari as the best reason a man could give to others for making him a bishop. I do recommend the "Civ4 Complete" mod. You have to buy it separately, but it's stand-alone so you can uninstall Civ5 once you get it.

My laptop won't download Civ 4 properly so I have to switch cables and crap to my old computer to play it.

You've got backroom access, why isn't this thread there?  Any thread about something this sad should be posted there with a "rocks" tag.
